This month the class will focus on developing the concepts of area, congruence, and multiplication.  The students will learn how  formulas for the area of parallelograms, triangles and trapezoids are derived from the formula of a rectangle.  They will focus on memorizing geometric terms as they learn to create and solve algebraic equations to find amounts of material needed to sew flags from around the world.
